The Qanba Ruby Wireless Leverless is the latest leverless from Qanba. It is plastic on top and bottom and PC and Android compatible out the box. Comes with the new Kailh Night Heron Silent Short Travel switches no details on force but feels something like a 35-40f. This pad has a standard layout and standard spacing compared to most other pads. But… there are a few quirks and confusing things with this pad…
The labeling on my top panel was not correct for R3 and L3. I have plenty of pads with no labeling at all so I can look past it, but anyone that knows Qanba brand and looking at this pad may get a bad impression.
Some of the buttons are confusing on what they do or if they are even working?? The manual attempts to explain but leaves a lot to be explained…
Turning this pad off… Is not turning this pad off from what I can tell. There is a power / home button but no off button that I could find or hold long enough to make a difference…
When I use this pad wired or wireless it works and plays fine but every now and then I can’t recreate it. It feels like I’m dropping moves. It happens in match so I can’t tell if it’s WiFi lag of the other player or etc. In the waiting room I dont get this so I cant confirm or deny it is happening. What I’m seeing exactly is often times when I press 2 buttons at once not directionals they dont always activate it will activate 1 or the other. I can’t tell if its the short travel switches which I have plenty of experience with or my hands being tired…. IDK
More quirks and details in the video of things I could recreate and notice every time.
I can’t recommend yes or no yet on this pad, I feel like I need more time to recreate things every time and give a hard yes or no….
But on the positive side. You are getting a wireless leverless, a case, and a PC Xbox style wireless controller set for $80. That is a great value. Maybe my pad just needs a firmware refresh or update but I dont see anything on their website and I cannot confirm yet.
Hope this helps anyone interested or on the fence with this pad make the best decision for them.
